Open Call.

The Wrong Biennale is an ever expansive, decentralized art event that unites artists, curators, institutions, and the public through a global exhibition of exhibitions. Organized and hosted both online and offline by independent curators, it showcases selected artworks within pavilions and embassies worldwide.

The upcoming 7th edition, taking place from November 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026, is dedicated to exploring the artistic potential of artificial intelligence. This edition will highlight AI-influenced art, video, text, and sound, inviting creators to engage with the transformative intersections between machine learning and contemporary artistic practices.

We welcome artists, curators, and institutions to organize exhibitions, whether as pavilions or embassies, that explore the creative possibilities and challenges of AI, and showcase how machine learning and algorithmic interactions are shaping the future of digital art.

Join us in celebrating digital art and AI as catalysts for innovation, inclusion, and new avenues of artistic expression.

Pavilion.

What is a Pavilion?
A pavilion is an online exhibition hosted by an artist, curator, collective, or institution, featuring the works of 10 or more artists.

Embassy.

What is an Embassy?
An embassy is an offline exhibition, gathering, or event that is linked to a pavilion and showcases the works of at least 10 artists in a physical space anywhere in the world.

All works submitted for the 7th edition of The Wrong Biennale may incorporate artificial intelligence at any stage of their creation process, whether as inspiration, as text, as a complementary tool, or as an integral part of the work’s development.

We welcome a diverse range of formats, including image, video, interactive media, sound, text, and immersive experiences, whether AI plays a role in their creation or not.

Is this edition about AI? Yes.
Can you choose to fully avoid AI as an artistic statement? Yes, too.

Curator.

As a curator, you have the opportunity to create a pavilion or embassy, select your featured artists, and define your curatorial vision.

Choose a unique and poetic title for your exhibition that does not include the words "AI", "Wrong", "Biennale" or related terms.

You may organize an open call to receive artist proposals. If so, you are encouraged to share the link with us for promotional support.

Ensure all selected artworks are presented with respect and professionalism.

Confirm that your artists formally agree to exhibit their work under your curation.

To participate as an artist, submit your work through one of the open calls organized by self-appointed curators:

Guidelines.

Embrace timeless creativity, joy, and artistic innovation, highlighting wonder and pushing on the positive aspects of humanity.

Avoid themes centered on hate, conflict, controversy, current news, or violence. Clearly label any adult-only content.

Pavilions must remain online from November 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026. Embassies must take place within this timeframe.

The Wrong is an art biennale, not a commercial art fair or NFT marketplace. Pavilions featuring pay-per-view, cryptocurrency wallet requests, or other intrusive practices will not be accepted.

The Wrong values pre-algorithm internet aesthetics and ensures exhibitions are accessible and one click away.

Participation is voluntary, free, and open to all. There are no submission, registration or exhibiting fees.

Curators may seek funding through donations, grants, institutional support, and sponsorships. If funds are raised, we strongly encourage fair compensation for participating artists.
